FAQ

The questions people actually ask, answered without the hedging.

Most agency FAQ pages answer questions nobody asked. These are the ones that come up in real first calls, including the awkward ones about price, timelines and what happens when a project goes sideways.

CMS items we run ourselves

If a question below has a vague answer, assume the honest answer is uncomfortable.

We would rather lose a project at the enquiry stage than three weeks in. So these answers include the cases where we are the wrong studio, what we will not take on, and the conditions under which a project we have quoted becomes a bad idea.

If your question is not here, ask it directly. The fastest way to find out whether this is a fit is a short call where you describe what is going wrong rather than what you want built.

What do projects cost?

It depends on scope, and we will not pretend otherwise. A focused landing page and a 200-page migration are different orders of magnitude. We scope and price before you commit.

How long do they take?

Landing page: two to three weeks. Full marketing site: six to ten weeks. Large migration: months, with most of the time in planning rather than design.

Do you work with early-stage teams?

Yes. Several current clients started pre-seed. We also work with enterprise teams. The stage matters less than whether someone can make decisions.

Who owns the work?

You do. The Framer project, the design files, the components, all of it. No retainer lock-in and no hostage situation.

Do you do retainers?

Yes, and several clients run that way for years. We also do fixed-scope projects. Neither is required to start.

Can our team edit it after?

That is usually a core requirement. We build components with real property controls and hand over documentation so marketers can publish without us.

Framer questions we get constantly.

Framer’s reputation as a lightweight tool is out of date and it costs teams good decisions. We have shipped a 200-page WordPress migration, a three-year multi-locale platform with a custom search engine, and our own product running 5,000+ CMS items. Most of what people assume Framer cannot do turns out to be a modelling question rather than a platform one.

Is Framer good for SEO?

Yes. Server-rendered pages, full metadata control, redirects, structured data and canonicals. Outcomes depend on architecture, not the tool.

Can Framer handle scale?

200+ pages and 600+ CMS entries on PetDesk. 5,000+ items on PureLanding. Scale is a modelling problem, not a platform limit.

Does Framer handle localisation?

Yes. We have shipped 12+ locales in production with canonicals, hreflang and a translation workflow the client team could run themselves.

Will we lose traffic in a migration?

Only through a bad redirect map. It is the biggest risk and it is fully preventable with a proper URL inventory.

Can you build custom functionality?

Yes. Code components and overrides. We have built fuzzy search engines, pricing calculators, QR attribution and CMS-driven popup systems.

Do you only work in Framer?

No. We do brand, product design, motion and front-end work independent of Framer. Framer is where a lot of it lands, not the whole studio.

Can Framer handle heavy motion?

Yes. We combine native Framer interactions with Shaders and custom-coded React components. OrderX runs all three on one multilingual site.

When we are the wrong choice

You need it in three days

Sometimes possible, and AG2 shipped in under twenty hours. But if speed is the only requirement, a template will serve you better than we will.

You want the cheapest option

We are not it, and we will say so early rather than quote low and cut scope later.

The brief is already final

If positioning, structure and design are all settled and locked, you need production, not a studio. We will scope build-only or decline.

Nobody can approve anything

Projects with no single decision-maker stall. We would rather wait until there is one than burn six weeks in committee.

You want us to copy a competitor

We will show you why it works and build you something with your own argument. We will not reproduce someone else’s.

The real problem is internal

If the team disagrees about what the company does, a website will not resolve it. That is a positioning engagement, and it should come first.

Question not answered here?

Ask it directly. Describe what is going wrong rather than what you want built, and the answer is usually clear within one call.
